Speeders |
Speeders
Recently a resident was driving out of Hunt Club in the morning, at the speed limit, when a Red GMC Envoy passed them and sped out of the neighborhood, past the school bus stop. The police were notified and the tags were provided.
If something similar happens to you, please notify the police and send us an email so we can all be on the look out for the vehicle.

Speed Hump Update
Great news from Don Haynie! All necessary signatures have been received and verified. The county is now preparing a contract to get the speed humps installed! While they can't give a definite date on the installation, they anticipate it will be in the next three months!

Status:
The County Council approved $276,000 for the trail, some of which they already have. Their next step will begin with purchasing the land, hiring a consulting firm and then begin trail work. Stay tuned for updates....

St. Andrew's Park and Playground Commission plans to build a public park adjacent to the Hunt Club. They are requesting the Hunt Club residents complete a simple survey to find out what types of trails we would like to see developed, (Walking, Biking, Equestrian, ATV, etc) as well as type of related activities we'd like to see included.

Kid's
Parade

July 4th 2007
The Hunt Club Social Committee organized a wonderful July 4th Kid's Parade to Benefit Our Fallen 9 Firefighters who lost their lives on June 18th, 2007 at the Sofa Super Store fire on Savannah Highway.
Children decorated holiday visors , paraded down Hunt Club Run behind a Charleston Fire Department Firetruck and gathered at the pool to cool off with an ice pop and lemonade.
Together, the Hunt Club raised $1,188 dollars to benefit the families of the nine firefighters! The money was brought to Bi-Lo to be included in their Charleston Firefighter Fund where they matched $138, bringing our total to $1,326!
Special thanks to the Hunt Club Social Club for all their hard work in planning and organizing the parade, Charleston Fire Department for leading the parade, Jim our neighborhood police offer who followed the children in the parade and Geejella Web Designs for donating the craft.

The pool party on May 12th was a huge success! The food was great, both parents and children had a blast and the prizes were fantastic. Congratulations to all of our lucky prize winners.

Ladies Bunko
|
Need a girls night out? We did too, that's why we started a Ladies Bunko Group! We
meet the third Thursday of each month. Each Bunko player is required to host no more than
once a year! We usually BYOB and we each take an appetizer, dessert or snack (organized by
the hostess) so the hostess isn't responsible for EVERYTHING!
